Margot Robbie in multiple looks for the Wuthering Heights film press tour, including gothic ruby necklace, a pear cut diamond necklace, Elizabeth Taylor's necklace and pear drop diamond earrings.

With the release of Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights, Margot Robbie has stepped into one of literature’s most iconic roles, and brought gothic glamour with her, both on-screen and off. The film, set against the haunting beauty of the Yorkshire moors, tells the story of doomed lovers Cathy and Heathcliff (Jacob Elordi) with a visually arresting and emotionally charged style that’s echoed in Robbie’s press tour looks.

From antique heirlooms once owned by Elizabeth Taylor to baroque ruby pendants and dramatic diamonds, Robbie’s jewellery has become an essential part of the narrative with the launch of this film. Each piece pays homage to the gothic themes of the movie – passion, tragedy and opulence – with craftsmanship and symbolism at the forefront.

Here, we break down every luxury jewellery moment from the Wuthering Heights press tour so far, with expert insights and the kind of design detail that makes each piece unforgettable.

1. Charlotte Brontë replica mourning bracelet

At the London premiere, Margot Robbie paid homage to literary history with a faithful replica of Charlotte Brontë’s mourning bracelet, originally crafted from the intertwined hair of her sisters, Emily and Anne, and set with a sparkling amethyst. The replica, made by Yorkshire-based Wyedean Weaving, was commissioned after the original – too fragile to wear – was studied at the Brontë Parsonage Museum. Finished with an ornate gold clasp, the bracelet is part jewellery, part relic, and in wearing it, Robbie paid a poignant tribute to the legacy of the Brontë sisters and the themes of grief, longing and love that run through Wuthering Heights itself.

The bracelet was just one part of a meticulously styled ensemble. Robbie also wore bespoke earrings set with garnets, diamonds and pearls, and a 4 carat ruby ring – warm-toned, romantic and full of old-world glamour. Two vintage Boucheron brooches completed the look: one from 1900 featuring Valkyrie heads and a cushion cut garnet, the other a 1920 Assyrian lion in ruby and gold. Each piece spoke to power, memory and symbolism – much like the character Robbie portrays.

Styled with a custom nude, braid-detailed gown by Dilara Fındıkoğlu, the entire look balanced emotional storytelling with historical reference. The jewellery wasn’t simply decorative, it deepened the narrative, connecting Cathy Earnshaw to Charlotte Brontë, past to present and film to legacy.

2. Velvet Choker & Baroque Ruby Pendant

Margot launched the tour with a gothic-inspired velvet choker, embellished with pearls, diamonds and a dramatic ruby at the centre, estimated to be around 20ct. Deep red and opulently set, the piece captured the brooding energy of Wuthering Heights perfectly.

Natural rubies of this size and colour are extraordinarily rare, with values exceeding £1 million. The necklace’s baroque styling – ornate, moody and theatrical – speaks to the emotional depth of the story, and proves just how powerfully jewellery can set a tone. 3. The Taj Mahal Necklace

For the film’s LA premiere, Margot wore one of the most symbolically rich and historically significant jewellery pieces ever seen on the red carpet: the Taj Mahal diamond necklace.

The diamond at its centre dates back to the early 17th century and was gifted first to Mughal Empress Nur Jahan by her husband, Emperor Jehangir, and later passed down to their son, Shah Jahan, who gifted it to his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Mughal emperor would also go on to build the iconic Taj Mahal in her memory. Inscribed in Persian script, the diamond bears Nur Jahan's name and a message often translated as 'Love is Everlasting' – a deeply romantic sentiment that echoes the emotional intensity of Wuthering Heights itself.

Though the stone may have originally been worn as an amulet or talisman, it was centuries later reset into a ruby and gold necklace by Cartier, after being purchased by Richard Burton for Elizabeth Taylor in 1972 as a birthday gift. The result is a piece layered with meaning: a symbol of eternal love that has passed through history and across iconic couples, from Mumtaz and Shah Jahan to Taylor and Burton, and now, symbolically, to Cathy and Heathcliff.

According to Queensmith founder, Brett Afshar, the necklace features a table cut diamond, 'one of the earliest and simplest diamond cuts, dating back to the late Middle Ages. Unlike modern brilliant cuts, which are designed to maximise light return, table cut diamonds were created at a time when cutting technology was limited. They have minimal brilliance, with an emphasis on clarity and body rather than sparkle. Their beauty lies in their architectural simplicity and historic charm, often giving a calm, glass-like glow.

Table cut diamonds also have a flat top – where the name ‘table’ originates – which dominates the face of the stone, and they are usually straight, with unfaceted sides or very few additional facets.'

Its appearance on Margot Robbie further cements the necklace’s legacy as a piece of jewellery that transcends time, fashion – and even fiction.

‘The Taj Mahal necklace could easily be worth $8-10 million, as today, table cut diamonds are prized in antique and high-jewellery designs, particularly in Renaissance or Georgian inspired pieces.’

4. Diamond Drop Earrings & Edwardian Ruby Ring

To complement the Taj Mahal necklace, Margot wore a pair of pear-shaped diamond drop earrings – elegant and expressive, with a soft, romantic silhouette that mirrored the mood of the film. The shape is notable: pear cuts are less commonly worn compared to a classic round cut, but offer a graceful, teardrop effect that flatters the face and elongates the neck. In fact, Margot Robbie's engagement ring features a pear cut diamond, a similarly distinctive choice that reflects a personal sense of style over convention.

On her hand, she wore a striking Edwardian marquise ring, also referred to as a navette ring, believed to date from the early 20th century (circa 1900–1915). The elongated design features a richly saturated oval ruby at its centre, surrounded by a halo of old mine- or old European-cut diamonds set in the signature marquise-shaped frame.

Crafted in platinum or white gold with a contrasting 18k yellow gold chunky band, the ring showcases hallmarks of Edwardian craftsmanship, including a pierced gallery, milgrain edging and a graceful silhouette. Rings of this style often measure between 22mm and 27mm in length, creating a refined yet commanding presence.

The result is a piece that blends bold colour with historic charm, a fitting choice for a red carpet moment steeped in the gothic emotion of Wuthering Heights.

5. Silk Cord & Pear Diamond Pendant

This look was a masterclass in restraint. A delicate, almost threadlike red silk choker with a single 7ct pear cut diamond, its silhouette echoing the tearful beauty of the film’s central love story.

If natural, the diamond would be worth around £375,000, while a lab grown diamond version would cost approximately £20,000. The softness of the fabric combined with the bold drop of the diamond created a modern interpretation of gothic styling: subtle and considered but full of narrative tension.

6. 100 Carats of Champagne Diamonds

At the Paris premiere of Wuthering Heights, Margot Robbie wore over 100 carats of champagne diamonds, paired with a custom burgundy velvet Chanel gown. Her show-stopping custom necklace featured a dramatic old mine cut centre stone, encircled by a halo of smaller diamonds, and a pear-shaped drop diamond, suspended from a deep red velvet choker – a modern interpretation of Victorian romanticism.

She paired the necklace with a 15 carat champagne diamond ring, echoing the warm, pink-brown tones that have earned these stones the nickname nude diamonds. Rich in colour and fire, no two champagne diamonds are exactly alike, making the look as rare and distinctive as the love story at the heart of the film.

7. What about the cast’s gothic inspired signet rings?

Earlier in the press run, Margot Robbie and co-star Jacob Elordi were seen wearing matching gothic-inspired signet rings – reportedly a gift from Robbie to Elordi. Rich in symbolism, the rings feel like a modern heirloom rooted firmly in literary history.

Each piece is hand-engraved with Emily Brontë’s immortal line: 'Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.' The face of the ring features two enamelled skeletons locked in an embrace, entwined with roses and thorns – a romantic yet macabre motif that captures the obsessive intensity of Cathy and Heathcliff’s relationship. Along the sides, the rings are engraved with “C&H” and the dates “1847–2026”, marking the novel’s original publication year and the film’s release.

The signet ring has long symbolised identity and allegiance, traditionally used to seal documents or signify family heritage. Here, it becomes something more poetic – a wearable declaration of connection, loyalty and shared narrative. It’s another example of how jewellery throughout this press tour has leaned into storytelling, sentiment and symbolism, rather than simply sparkle.

Recreate Margot Robbie’s Gothic Glamour with Victorian & Georgian-Inspired Bespoke Jewellery

Jewellery has the power to set a mood, and Margot’s press tour looks are proof. From velvet chokers and blood-red rubies to antique diamonds and custom halo rings, each piece evokes a bold statement.

And the best part? You don’t need a Hollywood budget to create your own version. Lab grown diamonds and coloured gemstones offer exceptional character, colour and size – all at a fraction of the cost of natural diamonds. Paired with a bespoke setting, you can design something uniquely yours: dramatic, romantic and deeply personal. Gothic glamour, reimagined for real life.

Ultimately, Margot Robbie's Wuthering Heights jewellery looks reflect a broader shift we’re seeing in engagement rings and fine jewellery. Couples are moving beyond pared-back minimalism and towards designs that feel expressive and storied, whether that’s a marquise-inspired cluster, a richly coloured centre stone or an antique-cut diamond full of character. Victorian and Georgian influences are quietly resurfacing, with intricate detailing and meaningful symbolism taking centre stage. Jewellery is becoming less about following a formula and more about telling a love story, and that’s exactly how it should be.
