About 1.9 ct diamond rings

A 1.9 carat diamond ring offers a great amount of finger coverage and looks fairly large, making this a great option for anyone that likes to make a statement with their jewellery and proudly wants to show off their ring. Just shy of a full 2 carats, a 1.9 carat engagement ring is an impressive and stunning choice.

A round diamond at 1.9 ct will typically measure a little over 8mm in diameter - if you hold a ruler up to your finger and mark 8mm, you’ll notice this covers a decent width of your finger!

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn About 1.9 ct Diamond Rings

How much is a 1.9 carat diamond ring worth?

If natural, a 1.9 carat diamond ring could be worth upwards of £30,000 - but the price is considerably lower for a lab diamond ring of the same carat weight. The price of a loose 1.9 carat lab created diamond is more like £3,200. The additional price of the ring setting itself will start from £700 for a well-crafted solitaire ring.

How big is a 1.9 carat diamond in mm?

A round diamond that weighs 1.9 ct will measure a little over 8mm in diameter. Other shapes can appear bigger, due to a larger spread of carat weight over the surface.

How big is a 1.9 carat oval diamond?

An oval diamond that weights 1.9 ct will measure around 10mm in length, which is approximately 2mm more than the diameter of a round diamond! Elongated diamond shapes like oval, marquise and pear diamonds have larger spread of carat weight over the table and upper facets, which makes them look larger despite weighing the same.

Can you tell the difference between 1.9 ct and 2 ct?

The difference in size between a 2 ct and 1.9 ct diamond is minimal - most people wouldn’t notice an obvious difference! The prices of diamonds tend to jump at the full carat mark, like 1 ct, 2 ct and 3 ct, meaning you could make great savings by choosing a diamond size that is just shy of a full carat.

Does a 1.9 carat diamond ring look small?

Definitely not! A round 1.9 carat diamond will cover around 8mm of your finger, or more if you choose an elongated shape like an oval, pear or marquise diamond. Any diamond over 1 carat appears fairly sizeable, and any diamond close to the 2 carat mark or more is considered pretty large.
