Zendaya and Tom Holland are rumoured to be engaged – and naturally, it’s Zendaya’s engagement ring that’s taken centre stage. Here’s everything we know about the diamond shape, carat weight, ring style and how you can recreate Zendaya’s ring design for yourself.

What style is Zendaya’s engagement ring?

Zendaya’s engagement ring is a vintage-inspired design with a modern finish. It could be mistaken as a vintage Georgian button-back ring, but it is far more likely to be a new ring, crafted just for Zendaya in this classic style. The ring features a 5 carat cushion cut diamond, set in an east-west orientation – meaning the diamond is placed horizontally across the band, rather than the traditional north-south setting.

The ring’s standout feature is its antique-inspired ‘cut-down’ setting – a style that’s quietly become a staple among celebrities. While it may look ultra-modern to the untrained eye, the cut-down setting actually dates back to the Georgian era, where diamonds were nestled in metal with minimal claws to let in maximum light.

In recent years, we’ve seen the likes of Zoë Kravitz and other style-forward celebrities opt for engagement rings in similar vintage-style settings, giving this historic design a fresh, fashionable resurgence.

How many carats is Zendaya’s engagement ring?

Queensmith’s experts estimate Zendaya’s engagement ring is 5ct – a substantially sized stone that looks all the more impressive thanks to its east-west placement.

What shape is Zendaya’s engagement ring?

Zendaya’s reported engagement ring features a sumptuous cushion cut shape diamond. The cushion cut is a soft, romantic diamond shape with rounded corners and vintage appeal. While cushion cuts tend to appear smaller than other shapes of the same weight, the east-west setting helps elongate the stone across the finger, offering a bold, elegant look and greater ‘finger coverage’. Not all cushion diamonds are elongated – some appear squarer, with a ratio closer to 1:1.

What metal is Zendaya’s engagement ring?

The ring appears to be a mix of yellow and white gold or platinum, lending warmth and dimension to the design. The combination of metals – yellow gold for the band and a white metal for the collect – allows the diamond to appear bright, colourless and icy, while the band emits plenty of warmth onto Zendaya’s skin. She’s able to pull off any metal effortlessly, so we love this choice for her. The two-tone engagement ring is a rising trend, watch this space!

How much is Zendaya’s ring likely to cost?

The value of Zendaya’s ring is around £150,000 ($200,000 USD) if it’s a natural diamond. We think it’s highly unlikely to be a lab diamond, given Tom Holland’s potential budget and that the vibe is incredibly vintage. Suppose it were a lab diamond, the total ring cost would come in at under £20,000 ($27,000 USD). However, it’s important to remember that celebrity jewellers often have premium prices that would exceed this value.

What do we know about Tom Holland's proposal to Zendaya?

We know very little about Tom Holland’s proposal to Zendaya. The couple are known to enjoy their privacy, and news of the engagement wasn’t confirmed immediately until a while after Zendaya debuted her ring on the red carpet at the 2025 Golden Globes. Very Hollywood, we love it!

Are Zendaya and Tom Holland married?

While it would be very on-brand for them to keep it such a secret, as far as we know, Zendaya and Tom Holland aren't married yet. However, that hasn't stopped us from imagining what their wedding might look like! Curious too? Take a look at our predictions for Zendaya & Tom Holland’s Wedding.

Where can I make an engagement ring like Zendaya’s?

While you may be able to find an authentic vintage engagement ring like Zendaya’s, Georgian rings are rare, highly prized and, unfortunately, could be too weak to withstand daily wear. The good news is, it is possible to recreate a vintage-inspired engagement ring like Zendaya’s. At Queensmith, we can help you build a cushion cut engagement ring set east-west, in your choice of metal and setting style.

Whether you’re drawn to the antique look of Zendaya’s cut-down setting or prefer a cleaner, modern silhouette, we’ll guide you through the design process to make your ring totally you.

You might also consider lab grown diamonds if you’re looking to create a ring similar in look and size to Zendaya’s, without the higher price tag of a 5ct natural diamond.
