Who is Charli XCX engaged to?

Charli XCX, the British singer-songwriter and producer, has captured hearts around the world with her fearless experimentation with music – defiantly redefining the pop genre. But as of November 2023, Charli XCX has captured one heart in particular; revealed in a casual Instagram post, Charli XCX announced her engagement to The 1975’s drummer George Daniel. Charli XCX and George Daniel met through the world of music, collaborating on the 1975’s “Notes on a Conditional Form”.

Charli XCX and George Daniel have never been one to follow the crowd – and her solitaire engagement ring is no exception. The pop disruptor and all-round style icon has built a name on doing things her own way, with a futuristic edge and zero interest in playing it safe. So when it was revealed that Charli XCX was engaged to George Daniel, it came as no surprise that Charli XCX's engagement ring was every bit as unfussy, unexpected and effortlessly cool as she is.

Despite being shared as a single Instagram post and a characteristically offhand caption, the moment still made waves – and for jewellery lovers, it was all about the solitaire ring. Minimalist and meaningful, Charli XCX's engagement ring proves that bold style doesn’t always need bold embellishments. Here’s everything to know about the Charli XCX engagement ring – and how to get the look.

Charli XCX's engagement ring

Charli XCX’s engagement ring is a timeless solitaire design, featuring a round cut diamond on a simple platinum band. The round cut diamond engagement ring is beloved for its symmetry and brilliance, while the clean platinum setting keeps the focus on the stone itself. It’s a style that’s minimal, modern and endlessly versatile – the kind of ring that will never date, and never need embellishment.

Far from flashy or over-designed, the solitaire engagement ring feels like an intentional choice: refined, romantic and stripped-back in all the right ways. It’s proof that a simple solitaire ring can be just as impactful as a trilogy or halo ring.

How much is Charli XCX's engagement ring worth?

While the exact details of Charli XCX’s engagement ring haven’t been shared, our gemmologists estimate the diamond solitaire ring to be about 1.50ct. A natural diamond solitaire ring of this size would cost around £14,000, depending on the stone’s colour, clarity and overall quality. The vintage-style engagement ring box seen in her announcement post has also sparked speculation – could the solitaire ring be a family heirloom?

For those inspired by Charli’s paired-back style, a similar look featuring a lab grown diamond offers a more accessible option, with prices starting from around £4,000.

Is Charli XCX married?

Charli XCX married George Daniel on 19 July 2025 in a lowkey ceremony at Hackney Town Hall, east London. The couple, who have been together for around three years, kept things understated yet stylish, with Charli wearing a £3,300 Vivienne Westwood minidress, a veil and her signature sunglasses. George wore a classic double-breasted suit. Charli later confirmed the wedding herself on TikTok, sharing a playful video and captioning it: “luckily he did xx,” in reference to her groom’s emotional reaction to her walking down the aisle.

Two months after their lowkey London wedding, Charli and George celebrated a second, more romantic ceremony in Sicily – this time in full fashion-forward form. Charli wore a custom Danielle Frankel gown: a sheer, bias-cut silk chiffon slip with an elongated train embroidered with organza petals and baroque pearls, paired with simple silver earrings and white silk stilettos. Her bouquet was a mixture of eucalyptus and baby’s breath – a nod to her 00s-inflected, vintage-meets-ironic aesthetic. With champagne flowing and an A-list guest list, including Troye Sivan, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Devon Lee Carlson and Shygirl, it was the perfect sequel to their Hackney vows.
