ESSENTIALS: RING SIZE
While it’s easy enough to have a ring adjusted if you don’t get it the right size the first time, it adds a special something if your intended can wear it right after your proposal! Here at Queensmith, we offer free resizing to all of our clients for engagement rings and wedding bands, so no need to worry if you get it wrong. In order to help you get it right, we have put together a few quick tips on how best to find your partner's ring size without her knowing.
ASK A FRIEND OR RELATIVE
If you are buying as a surprise, we recommend asking your partners mother or friends if they know her finger size. Also, if you can borrow a ring (making sure it is from the correct finger) we can measure it in store to ensure we have the exact size before going into production.
TYPICAL RING SIZES
Women's ring sizes typically range from G to R. In the UK, size M is average for engagement rings and wedding rings. Men's ring sizes typically range from P to Z with T being the average. While Queensmith can manufacture in any size, very large or very small rings can often take a little longer to create.
WHAT IF YOU'RE NOT SURE?
Even if you can't be 100% certain you've got the size correct, Queensmith offer a complimentary resizing service on all engagement rings and wedding bands. With years of experience behind us, we can often get a fairly accurate indication of your partner's ring size based on their height and dress size, even a photo where her hands are visible is sometimes enough for us to tell but you can rest assured that if it doesn't quite fit right first time, then we'll make it right free of charge.
