Queensmith Loves | Palm Vaults

If you don’t follow Palm Vaults on Instagram, do you even really have Instagram? Welcome to London’s most photogenic cafe.

A Dream in Millennial Pink

As we all know, Hackney has been on the up and up for the past few years, thanks to a plethora of cool cafes, stylish second hand stores and artisan creators. Palm Vaults happens to be one of those places, a gem in the heart of E8. The East London Oasis is filled with hanging plants, plush velvet booths and nostalgic art hanging on every wall. The interior attention to detail is impeccable, from the Miami-esque painted store sign to the blush-tiled, palm-leafed lavatories. A dream in Millennial Pink. The heart and sole that goes into the interiors is exquisite, and the food even more so.

Plant-based Perfection

The ever changing menu of Palm Vaults adheres to plant-based philosophy, using whichever ingredients they get ahold of that day. From avocado fudge cake to banana bread, vegan macaroons to ice cream sandwiches, the sweet treats are adorned with flourishes of berries, witty icing or delicate flowers. Of course, savoury options are available and equally Instagrammable, including smashed avocado toast and salads. You’re bound to have seen the signature brightly coloured coffees appear on your news feed a number of times, created with the vivid hues of such ingredients as beetroot and matcha. Cakes can also be made to order - the perfect solution for a vegan wedding cake, or those considering dairy free options for a birthday or big event.

The Permanent store can be found on Mare Street, and is open 9am-6pm every day apart from Sundays, when it opens 10am-5.30pm.
